After several leaks and rumors, Huawei has finally unveiled the MatePad Pro in China. At the launch event, Huawei also unveiled the Sound X smart speaker, Matebook D devices. The Chinese manufacturer detailed every aspect of the Android high-end tablet. Precisely, the MatePad Pro will feature high-end specifications and will compete against Apple’s iPad Pro.
It features a 10.8-inch IPS LCD display featuring aHD+ resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Huawei MatePad Pro display supports DCI-P3 color gamut and supports a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. It comes powered with 7nm based Kirin 990 coupled with maximum 8GB RAM and 512 GB storage.
In the camera department, the MatePad Pro comes with a 13-Megapixel rear camera with features like LED flash and phase detection autofocus. However, there’s an 8-megapixel camera having an f/20 aperture. Huawei MatePad Pro brings Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C and WiFi. The company has missed on the fingerprint scanner and the 3.5mm audio jack. It will be available in four different colors of Danxia Orange, Castle Peak, Fritillaria White, Night Ash.
It runs on Android 10 based EMUI 10. Apart from hardware specification, the new tablet also supports rich software-based features such as multi-screen collaborative, cloned phone feature, computer mode with the desktop experience. A 7250 mAh is intact with 40W rapid charging technology. It also supports 15W wireless charging, 7.5W reverse wireless charging.
The M-Pencil and magnetic Keybaord will be sold separately at 699 Yuan and 499 Yuan respectively. The users can grab both the accessories at a discount price under the MatePad Pro combo edition that will retail for 4,999 Yuan.
