Huawei seems to run slow in the race of security updates, the Huawei MatePad 10.8 tab launched in 2020 is receiving the two-month-old January 2021 security patch. The new update enhances system security and privacy policy. Prior to this update, Huawei upgraded MatePad 10.8 with EMUI 11 from EMUI 10.1 back in Nov’20.

Typically, the EMUI is rolling out in phase-manner so it may take some time to strike your Matepad 10.8 but as always, you can navigate it via Settings app > System & updates > Software update > Check for updates > Download and install the update.
Alternatively, you can also use the support app to look for the firmware. If you are opting this way, open the Support app > go to service tab > click update > click on Check for updates > Download and install the update.
As mentioned above, the Huawei MatePad 10.8 was disclosed at the end of July last year with a 1.8-inch IPS LCD display. The tab is fueled by Android 10 out-of-the-box coupled with Kirin 990 (7 nm) chipset and a Mali-G76 MP16 GPU. It offers an expandable memory option with 64GB/6GB RAM and 128GB/6GB RAM as default storage variants. Matepad 10.8 indulge single 13 MP rear and 8 MP secondary camera. It packs a 7,500 mah battery supported with 18W fast charging.
