We reckon, camera manufacturers would be having a tough time these days. Already, outstanding dual-camera setup(usually rear) in certain devices provides fabulous DSLR like Bokeh-effect. All in all making the dearer and bulky cameras obsolete. Nevertheless, as a new addition to the camera-centric smartphones line-up. Today, Huawei has officially announced the Huawei Maimang 6 boasting a total of four cameras. A couple of lenses at the rear as usual in modern devices and an unusual dual-shooter residing at the front.
The Maimang 6 is a China exclusive device. However, its Global variant might be branded as Huawei Mate 10 Lite or Huawei G10. Moreover, the mid-range device is expected to be valued around CNY 2,399($365).
The device boards the Huawei’s in-house Octa-Core Kirin 659 processor. Features a 5.9-inch Full HD+, 18:9 aspect ratio 2.5D curved glass display. Storage options include 4GB of RAM and a primary memory of 64GB. Houses a fingerprint scanner at the backside. It runs Android 7.0 skinned by EMUi 5.1. A not-so-bad 3,340mah battery fuels the device.
Cameras are the main highlight of this device. The Maimang 6 flaunts, 6MP and 2MP dual rear camera. The setup helps in depth information capture. Additionaly, a 13MP+2MP sensors on the front ensures a perfect selfie.
As far as the availability is concerned, the device is available in Obsidian Black, Streamer Gold and Aurora Blue colors. It’s up for pre-order today. However, sales are slated to start September 30 onwards.
