Honor, the sub brand of Huawei is gaining more popularity among people around the word due to their low pricing and greater performance. Recently, Huawei launched the Honor 7X and Honor View 10 in international markets. And now the company is back again with a new smartphone named Honor 9 Youth Edition for their home country China.
The Honor 9 Youth Edition is the successor to the Honor 8 Youth Edition which was launched earlier this year. These Youth Edition phones are released as lite versions in international markets.
At the front, the Honor 9 Youth Edition sports a 5.65 inch FHD+ ( 2160 × 1080 ) display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 like any other recently launched Huawei smartphones. The front also houses dual camera setup which consists of a 13 MP auto focus and 2 MP fixed focus sensors. The front cameras offer portrait selfies as well as 3D beautification. The back of the phone is made up of glass like its predecessor and has the same dual camera setup as the front.
Under the hood, this new Honor smartphone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor. Further, the SoC is coupled with either 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. The device runs on EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Finally, the whole package is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery.
The Honor 9 Youth Edition is already on sale in China starting at 1,199 Yuan for 3GB / 32GB variant. The other two variants are 4GB/ 32GB and 4GB/ 64GB priced at 1,499 Yuan and 1,799 Yuan respectively. It will be launched in 17 other markets which also includes India and UK on December 26.
