Google Nexus is a line of Mobile phones and Tablets that run on Vanilla Android and directly comes from Google. Google itself selects design, development, marketing, and support of these devices, but devices are manufactured by partnering OEM’s. Till date, 6 smartphones and four tablets have been released by Google in this form.
Google is expected to launch its new Nexus in 2015, Q2. As per report by GIZMOCHI, earlier it was expected that Google may tie up with a Chinese OEM for next nexus. Later on, it was added that along with Chinese OEM, Google may also partner up with LG.
Kevin Yang, the Director of China Research at iSuppli, a leading market research firm Today confirmed on Weibo that Google has chosen Huawei as its next Nexus partner. Major reason that Google opted for Huawei could be its challenging competition with Xiaomi. Huawei not doubt has shown great releases in 2014 such as Ascend Mate 7 and the Honor 6 Plus, still ‘Huawei Nexus’ is little surprising.
Till have, we have seen Google’s partnerships with HTC, Motorolla , LG and Samsung as far as Nexus line up is considered. Now we will have to wait and see if Huawei will be able to satisfy and meet the high expectations of people from Nexus.
Lets have a Look at Nexus devices by Google till now.
