Huawei brings the P20 Pro and the P20 lite to India, but no regular P20

Huawei is the world’s third-largest smartphone manufacturer even without much presence in the United States. The company has been trying to get carrier support in the US, but all went wrong during the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro launch in the country. But, they still continue to hold their position with great smartphones and presence in numerous other regions especially Europe. Recently, the company stunned everyone with their new P20 trio and two of these devices are now official in India.

The Huawei P20 Pro, the higher end model of the P20 series is the best ever Huawei smartphone yet. It is also the world’s first smartphone with triple camera setup. Also, it scores whopping 109 followed by its smaller brother – the regular P20 with 102 on DxoMark Mobile. Which makes them ahead of Samsung’s Galaxy S9 Plus with a score of 99.

The Huawei P20 series also features powerful internals like their cameras. The P20 Pro is powered by Kirin 970 processor coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It sports a 6.1 inch AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 due to the presence of the notch which houses the 24MP selfie camera, earpiece and sensors. At the back, the phone features a triple camera setup which consists of a 40MP RGB sensor, 20MP monochrome sensor, and an 8MP 3x telephoto lens. The device runs on EMUI 8.1 based on Android Oreo 8.1 and is backed by a massive 4,000 mAh battery.

Coming to the P20 lite, it features Kirin 659 under the hood with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It comes equipped with a 5.84 inches 2280×1080 LCD display(19:9) again with a notch which houses the same 24MP camera, earpiece, and sensors. At the back, it features a dual camera setup which includes a 16MP primary shooter and 2MP snapper for depth. It also runs on EMUI 8.1 based on Android Oreo 8.1 but is backed by a smaller 3,000 mAh battery.

The Huawei P20 Pro is priced at Rs.64,999, whereas the P20 lite will cost Rs.19,999. Both these smartphones will be exclusively available from Amazon India starting May 3.
