Huawei silently released an “S” version of their smartphone Huawei Ascend P6, and also made some changes in it. The Ascend P6 S is about 0.3 mm thick than the earlier version. It has the same battery as that of P6 though.
The chipset put inside is a bit better than before, and now features a Quad Core 1.6 GHz processor, while the P6 had Quad Core at 1.5 GHz. There is no LTE support too. Also note that this P6 S is Dual SIM, Dual Standy By Device, while the P6 had only a dual SIM option.
Almost rest of the specifications and the hardware of the devices are similar. The Huawei Ascend P6 S runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI 2.0 clubbed onto it. Though the phone is only available in China at the moment from Vmall, which is Huawei’s Webstore itself. The price of the device is $446, which seems to be a good deal.
Its predecessor Huawei Ascend P6 is going to get the Kitkat very soon.
