The HTC U Ultra is going through a regular software maintenance. A new OTA update with build number 1.62.708.1 is getting rolled out by HTC.
The update doesn’t have any new features or UI changes, rather it is just a system enhancement update. The 595 MB update, will fix some bugs, plug some security holes and also improves system stability along the way.
Normally, you don’t need a backup for such updates, but it is always a good idea to keep one. Charge up your device to at least 60% and hook it to a stable Wi-Fi. If your connection is fast you won’t need to wait much.
The HTC U Ultra has an excellent glossy liquid glass finish but is also a chunky device. It is powered by the Snapdragon 821, has 5.7-inch QHD display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. It also runs almost on stock Android Nougat 7.0.
If you do want to check for the update manually you can go to Go to Settings – About – Software updates.
