Here’s the News, HTC Sensation owners can taste ICS on their Device. But many of you have probably resorted to rooting and installing custom ROMs. If that is the case, we have good news for you. HTC’s Ice Cream Sandwich ports have started coming. And today’s turn goes to the HTC Sensation, coming from the unannounced HTC One X.
As you can see in the video, It’s nowhere near daily driver functionality, since many features are broken or buggy, but it gives us a good idea of Sense 4.0 will look like when it debuts in the coming months We know there are many of you who despise HTC Sense and most other custom OEM skins, but I’m sure we can all agree that HTC’s latest version is a welcome improvement.
Working features include mobile network connectivity, data, sms, WiFi, HWA, sound and GPS. But if you need to be able to use bluetooth, camera and video playback (Youtube included), you will be left out of luck. The team is still working on those, though. It might be worth waiting if you are not ready to flash this bad boy.
The weather/alarm app has been augmented with some cool Google Earth-like animations, and copy-paste has received a nice makeover, too.
Tread lightly if you plan on downloading and installing this ROM onto your Sensation — you will definitely be going back to someone more usable and stable before the day is over.
