HTC is going through hard times in the smartphone market since the past few years. Their smartphones are slammed by critics and are also underrated by the public. But, their Virtual Reality department is doing well and the company is also focusing more on it. Anyways, they are keeping up with their smartphone department though they are facing losses. Recently, HTC tweeted to announce the date for their next smartphone launch which is more likely to be U11 Plus or U11 Life.
The recent Geekbench leak suggest that this upcoming smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will sport a 6 inches QHD+ display and will run on Android 8.0 Oreo . The primary and secondary cameras will be of 11MP and 7MP respectively. Other sources also suggest that there will be a 6GB RAM / 128GB ROM variant too.
Prolific leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer popularly known as OnLeaks also posted some 3D renders of the HTC U11 on his twitter profile. He suggests that the phone will measure 158.2 mm x 74.6 mm x 9.1 mm and will have a bezel less display with 18:9 aspect ratio .
If its not for U11 Plus, HTC might announce U11 Life, an Android One smartphone similar to Moto X4 and Mi A1. This phone was leaked a month ago and the leaks suggest that it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 and will run on pure Android 8.0 Oreo. It will come in 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM and will be priced around $400.
