Last year HTC has introduced its U11 flagship handset but unfortunately, it fails to attract the customers. On the official Twitter account, HTC has posted an image depicting a new launch event to happen on 23rd May 2018. Numerous amount of leaks and rumors are already there about the forthcoming HTC U12+ handset and this time we are expecting the launch of the same. Let’s check out more about the upcoming HTC’s U12+ smartphone.

The Twitter post from HTC suggests “A phone that is more than the sum of its specs” and along with that they have posted an image showing the internals of the handset. They haven’t disclosed anything else but fortunately in Tech industry hints are more than enough to know the entire story. The device will sport top of the line hardware to give a tough rivalry to the Galaxy S9-series and the OnePlus 6. Some pre-launch renders of the device are also there on the internet.

The device is expected to come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845(64 bit) Octa-Core processor coupled with optional 6GB/8GB of RAM. It will be made available in two ROM variants namely 64GB/128GB and will offer expandable storage via micro-SD card up to 2TB’s. The device will run on HTC’s custom Sense UI based on Android 8.0 Oreo. In terms of Display segment, it is expected to feature a 5.5(inch) Quad-HD+ Super LCD 6 Display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. Fortunately, there will be no Display notch on this specific handset.

In the Camera department, there will be a Dual rear 12MP+16MP shooter with Dual-LED Flash, OIS, Aperture f/1.5 whereas in the front a Dual 8MP+8MP shooter will be there with OIS and bokeh mode. HTC U12+ will offer an IP68 certification for protection against water and dust. It will run on a 3420mAh battery with a Qualcomm Quick Charge technology.
