According to Rumor Mill HTC is working on 5 inch display smartphone. HTC plans to enter ‘phablet’ market with its rumored 5-inch display smartphone, featuring a resolution of 1794×1080 pixels. At 5 inches the ppi count would be around 410, somewhat lower than LG’s 5-inch full 1080p screen demoed a couple of months ago. HTC flagship handset is being prepared for a launch later this year, supposedly in September or October.
According to GLBenchmark score for an HTC device with a matching resolution, puts a Snapdragon S4 chipset with Adreno 320 GPU into play and also Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. The new, 5-inch Full HD LCD panel appeared to be a step forward from the existing mobile display technology, based on AH-IPS (Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching) technology.
