HTC has finally made HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+ available in India. It was long awaited in India after the launch of Desire 12 and Desire 12+ globally in the month of March. HTC is now actively participating in the Indian budget smartphone market to gain some momentum.
Already, many Chinese players such as Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi are eating the mid budget market in India. HTC seems to gain some momentum in this market with HTC Desire 12 and Desire 12+. Here are the details of both the devices.
It is the bigger and better version of the HTC Desire 12. The handset comes powered by the fresh Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 (64 bit) Octa-Core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and for Gaming, it is backed by an Adreno 506 GPU. The handset delivers 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 400 GB via micro-SD card. Desire 12+ is a Dual-SIM handset and comes with the support of 4G connectivity. There is a Fingerprint Scanner present in the rear department.
In the front, there is a 5.99(Inch) HD+ IPS 18:9 ratio Display with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. In terms of Camera, it packs a Dual-Camera 13 MP+2 MP setup in the rear with PDAF, Aperture f/2.2, LED Flash and for selfies, it has an 8MP snapper with Aperture f/2.0. The device runs on HTC’s custom UI based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Desire 12+ houses a 2965 mAh battery. The thickness of the device is 8.4 mm and it weighs around 157.5 grams.
It is the younger brother of Desire 12+ and comes powered by a MediaTek MT6739(64 bit) Quad-Core processor coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM and for Gaming, it is backed by a PowerVR GE8100 GPU. It comes with 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 400GB’s via micro-SD card. The device is compatible with Dual-SIM and supports 4G connectivity. Unfortunately, there is no Fingerprint Scanner on the device.
In the Display department, it packs a 5.5(inch) HD+ IPS 18:9 ratio Display with a resolution 720 x 1440 pixels. In the Camera segment there is a 13MP shooter with Aperture f/2.2, LED Flash and in the front, a 5MP snapper with Aperture f/2.4 is present. The device runs on HTC’s custom UI based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Desire 12 houses a 2730 mAh battery. Its thickness is 8.2 mm and the weight is around 137 grams.
HTC hasn’t yet revealed the pricing of the following devices though some details about its availability and color options are available. These smartphones will be made available in Black/Silver colors and will go on sale in the month of April.
