As you guys know a couple of months ago we’ve heard rumors of 5 inch phone from HTC, So lastly it’s here from HTC. Today in Japan HTC announces HTC J Butterfly (a sequel to the original J that launched a few months ago) with 5 inch of Super LCD3 display which with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which gives it a pixel density of the astonishing 440 ppi. It’s also very thin at just 9.1mm which makes it easier to deal with such a big display.
Inside the HTC J butterfly you’ll find 2GB of RAM and a quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor. There’s an eight-megapixel camera that naturally handles 1080p video at the back, accompanied by a 2.1-megapixel front-facing imager. The battery has a 2,020mAh capacity. It also runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
It’s in Japan so folks on the KDDI network can grab hold of this powerful phone in early December, with a choice of red, white or black. According to The Verge, like the J before it, we’ll see a variation of this device with different aesthetics, hit the rest of the world with HTC specifically mentioning that the same display tech would launch in other devices to be announced.
