The Moto 360 was recently joined by OnePlus One Watch in the round-faced smartwatch category but it looks they’ll soon have another contender in the category and you would never have guessed this one. A new contender is entering the smartwatch race with this one and this time, its HP.
HP has teamed up with Gilit and Michael Bastian to work on this one. The technical specifications of the smartwatch are not yet known but some drafts of how the watch is going to look are out and this one sure looks good.
The good looks are not the only thing that seem attractive about this device, the HP smartwatch will be capable of pairing up with both the Android and iOS devices. This could prove useful for many Apple users if this one comes out before the iWatch and also for Android fans. This however means that this watch will not be sporting the AndroidWear OS and HP will come up with something new for this one. Like most of the smartwatches around this one too will have all the basic functions like email, text, phone call, notifications along with some apps.
Michael Bastian is the man behind the designing of the smartwatch who has also incorporated interchangeable bands on the smartwatch. They will reportedly be available in nylon Olive Green, Â Black rubber, Brown leather and a black strap edition.
The HP smartwatch will reportedly be targeted at the luxury segment and get ready to shell out some money if you plan to buy it.
