Pre-requisites
Before moving ahead with the process, You need first to Unlock the Bootloader of your OnePlus 7 Pro. Check this step by step guide to unlock the bootloader.

- TWRP Recovery installer zip | TWRP Recovery image
- SuperSU Zip
- Minimal ADB
- Make sure your device is at least 75% charged
- Take a backup of your important data before proceeding.
How to Install TWRP Recovery on OnePlus 7 Pro
Step 1. Carefully connect your OnePlus 7 Pro to the PC.
Step 2. Navigate to the ADB folder on your PC, Open CMD, and type the following command.
adb reboot bootloader
Step 3. Now to check which Fastboot slot is currently active on your OnePlus 7 Pro, type the following command.
fastboot getvar current-slot
Step 4. Select the non-active slot by typing the below-given command.
fastboot --set-active="slot name" e.g fastboot --set-active=b
Step 5. Once your OnePlus 7 Pro is in bootloader mode, Type this command.
fastboot boot [recoveryname].img
Step 6. Now in TWRP recovery, tap on reboot and select the previously active slot.
Step 7. Now go back and tap on Install. This will flash the TWRP installer.
Step 8. Once it’s done, go back and tap on reboot.
Voila! TWRP recovery has been successfully installed on your OnePlus 7 Pro.

How to Root OnePlus 7 Pro [SuperSU]
Step 1. Move the SuperSU zip file that you downloaded earlier to the root of your internal memory
Step 2. Turn off your OnePlus 7 Pro.
Step 3. In switched off stage. Boot into the TWRP Recovery mode by pressing “Volume Down + Power” buttons together.
Step 4. Once the phone is in TWRP recovery mode, Take a complete backup of your device.
Step 5. After the backup is done, Click on the install button, and Navigate to the SuperSU Zip file.
Step 6. Select the SuperSU Zip file and Swipe to Confirm Flash.
Step 7. Wait for the process to be completed and then reboot the device.
You have now successfully rooted your OnePlus 7 Pro.
