Honor 8 Pro launches in Europe with 6GB RAM and Kirin 960 processor

Remember the Honor V9 launch in China? Well, don’t worry, the same device has been launched as Honor 8 Pro in Europe today. It is the bigger sibling of the Honor 8 which was launched last year. This thin and Kirin 960 processor powered device comes with 6GB of RAM. This beautiful device is priced for 549 EUR which roughly translates into $US 585.

Huawei Honor 8 Pro packs a 5.7-inch TFT LCD effort, boasting a QHD (1440 x 2560) resolution. As said above it packs Kirin 960 processor (Huawei used it in P10 and Plus, Mate 9 and many other devices) with Mali-G71 graphics and 6GB LPDDR4 RAM. In the camera section also it packs dual camera on the back having 12-megapixel main shooters tout f /2.2 aperture, dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording an 30fps. There’s a secondary camera of 8-megapixel on the front.

The Honor 8 Pro comes with EMUI 5.1 atop the Android 7.0 Nougat firmware.

In order to handle this huge hardware Honor has added 4000 mAh battery. It is a dual-SIM device includes a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C and of course, LTE. The dimensions of the device are as 157 x 77.5 x 6.97 mm and weighs 184 grams.

There’s metal body with 6.97 mm of thickness. It also provides 128GB of expandable storage slot via microSD card.

The Honor 8 Pro is available in black, blue and gold. It is going to be made available for purchase from April 5 onwards in select markets, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, for 549 EUR or £474.
