As promised earlier, HMD has now started rolling-out Nougat 7.1.1 to the Mediatek powered Nokia 3. The device which runs Nougat 7.0 pre-installed is now being updated to reach up with its larger siblings Nokia 5/6 already running the 7.1.1 much before.
Earlier, back in July. The HMD Global Chief Product Officer – Mr. Juho Survikas had already confirmed the Android Nougat 7.1.1 update for Nokia 3 by the end of August. Albiet a little late, the update is now hitting for some users across the globe, true to his words.

The Nougat 7.1.1 update for Nokia 3 weighs in at 748.3MB. As we all know, the Nougat 7.1.1 is a minor upgaradation from the initial release 7.0. Mostly focused on bugs fixes, a little performance improvements and other minor enhancements compared to Android 7.0.
What’s New with the 7.1.1 update for Nokia 3
According to the changelog of update. It brings OS Upgrade: Android 7.1 to Nokia 3, improved system stability and User Interface Enhancements.
Along with the above notable changes. There should be some other minor tweaks and add-ons incorporated with the package as well.
Since, the update is rolling-out gradually. It would take some time to reach your device. However, you can manually check for the update. For that, Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update. Once, the update is ready, proceed further with the installation procedures. Make sure that your device is prepared for the update by ensuring its battery level and other pre-requisites.
