Last week, HMD Global launched a 3G variant of the beloved Nokia 3310. Currently, it’s not clear whether Nokia is bringing it o India or not. But, it may not come to India as Nokia have other plans for Nokia 3310. Recently, Ajey Mehta, Vice President for HMD Global India said in an interview that they are planning to bring a new 4G variant of Nokia 3310 to India.
The craze for 4G feature phone started in India earlier this year when Reliance Jio announced its Jio phone. According to Ajey, the Jio phone is making an impact in the market. Even, Nokia is unsure whether it is possible to make a new 4G Nokia 3310 as per the hardware is concerned.
Further, This all depends upon the reception of the Jio Phone in the upcoming days. If they found some positive report for Jio Phone from the market then they are surely gonna make it possible.
Recently, Nokia launched Nokia 8 with high end specs including Snapdragon 835 and 4 GB of RAM.
Nokia might bring a 4G feature phone in near future as they are household name in India.
