Google unveiled the latest Pixel Buds Pro in the I/O event 2022 that was held in May 2022. It came with premium features like Active Noice Cancellation, a 6-core audio custom-built chip, and a silent seal to maximise noise cancellation. It also came with many other advanced features and was priced at USD 199. Last week, Google rolled out the firmware update 2.12 and finished its rollout. Now, Google is rolling out another update with firmware number 2.14. Google said that the update is rolling out slowly to the users of Pixel Buds Bro.
The update brings general bug fixes and improvements to the latest TWS from Google. The update is live in US and countries in central Europe. Google hasn’t started pushing the update notification; it was found after manually checking for updates in these countries. To update your Pixel Buds Pro, open the companion app and navigate to More Settings. Now, look for Firmware updates, and you will be greeted with the following message;
“Manual update available” from 120+release_2.12_signed to 122+release_2.14_signed
The update process takes a couple of minutes and will update both the earbuds first. Once done, it will automatically restart, and you will be good to go. There will also be checking the update process to verify that the update has been successfully installed without any issues. Once done, it will start updating the case to the latest firmware. The case will take around 10 minutes to update after earbuds are placed inside it. That’s it, and you have successfully updated your case and earbuds to the newest firmware.
