Yesterday Youtube added integration of Google TV with its Android app and today Google TV gets its update. SO now question arises what’s new and waht we’ve got? So starting with Voice search, it will provide you Voice search feature like in Microsoft Kinect and similar functionality that was demoed by Samsung at CES last year. So now you can open apps, press play on a YouTube video, or speak a command, such as “CNN”, to navigate directly to a channel.
Google TV will also be re-branding its digital video store. Once simply called “TV & Movies” will be named now Primetime, which is a new guide experience that’ll let you browse new content to watch without taking you out of whatever you’re doing. You can browse while watching another movie or TV show, using the web browser or listening to music, for instance. Google Explains it as:
Now called PrimeTime, the app makes it even easier to find your favorite content. Easily access PrimeTime anywhere in Google TV and browse for something new while you watch. You can quickly flip through the best stuff on live TV, access your favorite channels, see TV shows you recently watched, and find other suggestions based on what you enjoy watching.
