Google, Alphabet’s largest subsidiary company held an event in India where the company announced new features coming to Search in India. The new features include support for in-video search and multi-search. Further, giving some details Google said that this two image and video-focused features to Search are coming soon. Multisearch is a feature that lets you take pictures or screenshots and add text to the query. Google analyse the process by pointing at something in real life and popping a “like that” notification to add context to a query.

Google will also give users the ability to search for content within videos directly from their phone’s Search app in the country. This feature allows Search to link to a specific part of a video relevant to the query. Just insert your query using the “Search in the video” and find exactly what you are looking for.

Additionally, Google has announced a new Lens feature that identifies handwritten prescriptions text, this feature can show extracts from the websites in Search in English and Hindi language, speech detection in Hinglish has also been improved, adding support for 2-step verification using the Google Voice Assistant in Hindi, and much more.
