Google has initiated new project zero for neutralising the software applications by removing or fixing the security flaws. There’s a team of professionals including George Hotz, who became the world’s first hacker to crack AT&T’s lock on the iPhone in 2007.
Google Project Zero will identify threats through the most widely-used applications, submit bug reports directly to the developers, and announce the changes publicly once the vulnerability has been patched. Google’s main motive behind the project is to provide user a safe internet environment with bugs. Here’s what they say:
[quote_box_center]You should be able to use the web without fear that a criminal or state-sponsored actor is exploiting software bugs to infect your computer, steal secrets or monitor your communications. Yet in sophisticated attacks, we see the use of “zero-day” vulnerabilities to target, for example, human rights activists or to conduct industrial espionage.[/quote_box_center]
Google has hired or hiring highly the best practically-minded security researchers and contributing 100% of their time toward improving security across the Internet.
Hope to see some flaws from Project Zero team in near future.
