Back in May 2022 at the I/O 2022 event, Google showcased the Pixel Tablet. The Pixel Tablet was said to be coming in 2023. Certainly, tipster Kuba Wojciechowski reveals that Google will introduce only one Tablet and the Pro version could be dismissed. The Pixel Tablet is codenamed “Tangor” and the Pixel Tablet Pro is codenamed “Tangorpro”. Further, the tipster revealed that the Pixel Tablet will feature the first-generation Tensor chip. Whereas, the Pixel Tablet Pro could feature the Tensor G2 chip.
In the Tweet thread, the tipster revealed that Google has dismissed the Tangor version. To clarify, Google will only announce the Pixel Tablet with the Tensor G2 mobile platform. The Pixel tablet will be available in 8 GB Samsung LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB Kioxia UFS storage. Moreover, the Pixel Tablet will feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The display on the device is a 2560×1600 CSoT "ppa957db2d" with a RT4539 LED driver.
RT4539 is a 6-channel LED driver, typically used for driving the backlight layer on LCDs, which means that the Pixel Tablet most likely doesn't have an OLED screen, unlike other Pixel devices. pic.twitter.com/kgx0BhHE6f
