Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro Repair Manuals are now public

The right-to-repair in France has led Google to publish the Repair Manuals for both the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The right-to-repair powers the consumer with the ability to self-repair their own devices, and it is made necessary for the manufacturers to publish repairability scores. Google also published Pixel 6a repair manual last year.

Unlike the previous year, Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro Repair Manuals are only available in France, and the ROI users can’t access them unless using a VPN service. Pixel 6a Manuals were made available without any geographical restriction. Apart from France, there are self-repair programs from Google in countries like US, UK, Australia, and Europe. However, the direct links are still working, the users can download the Pixel 7 manual and Pixel 7 Pro manual.

Such amendments to consumer rights are worth praise, and the same should be scaled to other countries and across different services. Even, Apple and Samsung have started offering self-repair services to customers.

However, is advised for inexperienced users and beginners to keep their distance from the self-repair programs.
