Google Photos App update overhauls the UI, adds new icons and photo map search

Google is rolling out a new update for its Google Photos App on Android. The latest update brings various new changes including a new look, photo map search option and various other enhancements. Google Photo Apps have become quite popular in the past a few years. It is a favourite photo cloud sharing among the Android users since its inception. Google confirms that app usage has increased over the past few months.

Google Photos App latest update adds a brand-new icon, added three main tabs at the bottom – – Photos, Search and Library. There are larger “Memory” carousel, videos auto-play and enhanced memories with your friends, from trips and last week’s highlight.

Moreover, the user can easily search for photos with the interactive Map view. It allows the user to easily scroll the photos by just tapping the location on the map. However, there’s also an ability to turn off the location data if you have some privacy concerns.

Another option of printing photos which is currently available in the US, EU and CA allows ordering prints of photos.

The update for both Android and iOS devices is out and is available via respective App stores.
