Google is rolling out new October security patch 2018 for the Pixel and Nexus devices. The update will be available for all the compatible Pixel devices such as Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. Google October Security patch brings 26 fixes for significant vulnerabilities on Android devices.
The security path consists all the fixes for significant security issues that have been reported by the users of the Android system on Google community forms. Google October Security patch brings a major fix for a vulnerability ion the ANdroid framework. Speaking about it in the Google Bulletin, Google confirms that “The most severe of these issues is a critical security vulnerability in Framework that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process. The severity assessment is based on the effect that exploiting the vulnerability would possibly have on an affected device.”
Many other changes and fixes have been particularly added for the Pixel and Nexus devices. Google has fixed the Google Pixel fast-charging behavior, improved the performance of some protected media, the stability of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL has improved while using Android Auto.
It is rolling out to Pixel and Nexus devices and the Essential phone will also get it. Soon, other OEMs will start rolling out the Google October Security patch for their Android device.
