It seems, for the search-giant Google developing a new Android version is as cozy as cooking a delicious dessert. Only a week or so is over after the stable Android Oreo is emerged. To our surprise, certain sources points out that Google has already started working on the successor of Android Oreo, the Android P.
The fact that Google has initiated the development process of Android P was cipher under the Google source code published on its repository. Well, kudos to those Android geeks over XDA, who noticed a new tag titled Master-P being added on the Android Open Source Project. Assumed to be the Google’s base preparation for the next major Android version 9.0.
In addition, a file named – version_default.mk found on the tag hints Google is testing the Android P on Google’s Pixel devices. The file mentioned the code name of Pixel devices, Sailfish and Marlin(Pixel and Pixel XL respectively). And here and there over the source code we could see P mentioned as the targeted platform. So, all those evidences directly agrees to that Google is on the Android P development.
Although, Google is silent till now regarding the Android P. Much earlier than usual initiation of the development necessarily indicates Google’s intention of renovating the core Android. With Android P we could expect a drastic design changes.
