Google may announce the Android P Officially on 20th August

At Google I/O 2018 a number of announcements have been made but still the most attention-grabbing was Android P beta. Android P developer preview is available for a lot of devices including OnePlus 6, Pixel-series, Essential phone, etc. Google was busy in developing the best and stable beta for the devices, however, it looks like they are all done and will soon be releasing it officially. As per the latest details we’ve got, Google will be releasing Android P officially on 20th August. So let’s check out some in-depth stuff about it.

Pixel-series devices are generally the first to receive all major Android updates and they were said to receive the update by Q3 of 2018. As revealed by a famous leaker evleaks the Android P will go official on 20th August. Last year, Android Oreo was announced on 21st August, so roughly after one year, Google is planning to announce it. It appears to be a genuine piece of information as it makes sense.

Currently smartphone manufacturers are yet to announce the rollout date for their devices, however, the update for Pixel and OnePlus devices are expected to arrive first. There are a ton of changes introduced in the Android P when compared to the old Android 8.1/8.0 Oreo. From security to UI design almost everything has been refined to work more effectively and efficiently.

Although, some major highlights of Android P are multi-camera support, notch support, HDR VP9 video, etc. For what Android P stands is still a secret, so we may have to wait for 20th August to know the official name of this new Android version.
