Google today launched one more services which is named Free Zone and its targeted to “the next billion” Internet users. This will provide free access to basic Google products like search, email and Google+ to users who starting to gain internet access. Only they need is device with Internet Connection support.
Currently its launched in Philippines in partnership with Globe Telecom and will be roled out to other emerging markets soon.
There are some simple rules to using Free Zone: everything is for free, except for clicking a link that goes out of Google+, viewing an email attachment or clicking a link that’s found on a webpage that has been a search result.
According to Google Product Manager, AbdelKarim Mardini “It’s aimed at the next billion users of the Internet, many of whom will be in emerging markets and encounter the Internet first on a mobile phone, without ever owning a PC.”
