Google Confirms Unofficially Google Play Gift Cards

After several proofs of existence of Google Play Gift Cards last week, today we have received another proof we can also say it an unofficial Google Announcement. Today Google Play Gift Cards support page got leaked on its support discussions and One page a Play Store site.

Support pages for Google Play Gift cards confirmed that there will be $10, $25 and $50 denominations in all. Currently its available in US only but you can’t redeem them now. Radio Shack, Target and Game Stop Stores are will soon make gift cards available. Also Google Play gift cards cannot be redeemed for Android app subscriptions, magazine subscriptions, or hardware and accessory purchases. You can only purchase music, television, movies and books if available in your country. The rumored hard date is August 26th so we’ll see if that is legit by the beginning of next week.

Here are some Restrictions

Google Play gift cards:

  • Are only available in the United States at this time.
  • May only be used on content sold in U.S. dollars (i.e. if you bought a Google Play gift card and then travel to Germany, you won’t be able to redeem your Google Play balance since content is sold in Euros).

Google Play balance:

  • May not be combined with other forms of payment.
  • May only be refilled by purchasing and redeeming a gift card.

So guys are you planing to buy these gift cards?
