Google is gearing up to make its 3rd-Generation Chromecast official soon. Unfortunately, the gadget has been exposed a little time ago through an early listing at Best Buy. Now, another leak has surfaced courtesy to a new “Google Smart TV Kit” stills.
As you can see, the leaked Google Smart TV Kit features the 3rd-Gen Chromecast. Accompanying the Chromecast is, of course, the Google Smart Home Mini. It seems Google rebranded the combo as “Smart TV Kit” rather than using the term – “bundle”.
The new Chromecast on the box has rounded edges and a matte surface. Note that its predecessor had a glossy black finish. On the other hand, the Chrome logo is ditched for the sake of Google ‘G’ logo.
In terms of all the new goodies that the 3rd-Gen have up its sleeve. In fact, there is no need of keeping your hopes high, since the previous FCC listing reveals nothing promising compared to its predecessor. However, improved Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth inclusion are something worth to look forward.
As far as the official announcement of the 3rd-Gen Chromecast is in question, unfortunately, nothing is concrete yet. However, it’s strongly speculated to be available on BestBuy starting from October 9.
