At Google I/O 2021, Google revealed its new design language for Android, “Material You”. The new design is very impressive and liked by the majority of the Android community. It is a major design change after Android 5.0 (lollipop). After the launch of Android 12 Beta 1, users want the new design for other Android apps also. As for now, we know that Google Photos is the first app to receive the Material You design. Now, Google Message will also receive the Material You design. According to XDA and tipster Pan DU, Google has updated Message with preliminary support for Material You design.

Once enabled, the new design will add different color variants of your theme to Google Messages app. It will add colors to different app elements such as the search bar, category bar, floating action button. Users with colorful wallpaper will also have vibrant text chats. Try the Google Message v8.2.042 on your Android 12 Beta to check out the new Material You designed Google Message. Material You for Googel Messages available for Android 12 Beta only, you cannot try it on earlier Android versions with Google Message beta.
It is clear that with the launch of Android 12 stable, more apps will have Material You design. Apps like Gmail, Chrome, and many more. Google released the Android 12 beta 2 last night and it also brought a new power menu in Material You design. So, for now, we just have to wait for the stable Android 12.
