Google is working to localise their apps for every country and region. In order to attain their goal of localisation, Google is bringing support for different languages in their products on different platforms. Recently, they have added as mail support to the Google Assistant.
Google Assistant has received different languages support via an update. The latest that have been added to the support list are Indian English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese languages.
Currently the support is rolled out for developers and now they can use these languages to build compatibility with other apps. The support of Indian English will let developers to localise the apps for Google Assistant.
“Whether you’re searching for a great restaurant for biryani, mapping your travels or helping the kids with their homework, your Google Assistant is always ready to help. You can ask about your day or your commute, explore your favorite topics, and get answers to hundreds of small and big questions during your day. But to be truly successful, your Google Assistant should be able to connect you across the apps and services in your life. So starting today, developers and companies can build apps to engage with Indian users through Actions on Google, the developer platform for the Google Assistant,” Brad Abrams, Group Product Manager, Google Assistant, said.
Action for Google is a development platform for developers to develop apps with Google Assistant support. Last year, Google allowed the third party apps to get work together along with the Google Assistant.
