href=”http://google.com/” rel=”homepage” target=”_blank” title=”Google”>Google intends to increase their subscriber base by lowering the age where one is able to join Google+, the search engine giant’s own social networking service.

Teens and young adults are the most active Internet users on the planet. And surprise, surprise: they’re also human beings who enjoy spending time with friends and family. Put these two things together and it’s clear that teens will increasingly connect online. Unfortunately, online sharing is still second-rate for this age group.

According to Google’s Vice President, Product Management, Bradley Horowitz, this particular move would ensure that Google’s own social network would be in a better position to go up against bitter rivals Facebook.
