After its Elife S5.5 being touted as the world’s thinnest smartphone, Gionee has another contender in store for the title and this one’s even thinner. A Gionee device was spotted at TENAA and this one measures just 5 mm thick.
The device has not been named yet and comes with the model number GN9005 and is now the world’s thinnest smartphone, or rather will be when it comes out. The photos are not the only thing we have about this device as the specs of the device are known too.
The ‘slimmest-smartphone’ from Gionee will be a mid-ranger with a 4.8″ 720 p AMOLED display, an 8 MP snapper on the back with an LED flash and a 5 MP front camera unit. Under the hood is a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. The device comes with 16 GB of storage memory which will be all that you have to do with as there is no sign of a external card slot. A 2,050 mAh battery will be powering your device.
The device is not just extremely slim but very light as well. Despite measuring 139.8 x 67.4 x 5.0 mm,the device weighs just 94.6 g not something we see commonly these days.
