In August 2021, Samsung launched the much-awaited Galaxy Z Fold 3 powering Snapdragon 888 5G. The device features a 7.6-inch Foldable Dynamic AMOLED display paired with up to 512GB storage and 12GB RAM. Android 11 based One UI 3.1.1 runs the device out of the box. It carries a 12 MP triple rear camera while the front offers a 10 MP sensor on the cover display and a 4 MP under-display snapper. They also launched the Galaxy Z Flip 3 along with the device. It has the same chipset that pairs with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. The device features two 12MP sensors on the rear and a 10MP sensor to the front.

[December 26, 2023]: The One UI 6 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is now available for European users. The update comes with firmware version F926BXXU5GWL1 and packs all the security fixes from the December 2023 security patch.
[December 18, 2023]: The Android 14 update is now available for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US. The update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes with firmware version F711U1UEU5HWL1, and it is available on US Cellular’s network in the country. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is getting the update with firmware version F926U1UEU4HWL1. The updates also bring the December 2023 security patch to both phones.

[June 28, 2023]: The June 2023 software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in Europe is rolling out with the firmware version F711BXXU5EWF1.
[February 21, 2023]: The Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 are now also getting the update to One UI 5.1. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 receives an update to firmware version F711BXXU4EWB1. And for the Z Fold 4, firmware version F926BXXU3EWB1 is ready for download.
[November 07, 2022]: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Z Fold 3 are receiving November 2022 Security Patch via the firmware update F711U1TBS3EVJ2 and F926U1TBS2DVJ1, respectively. The update is now available in the US.

[September 6, 2022]: Samsung is releasing the Android 12L update to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in South Korea. The OS is tossed with One UI 4.1.1 on top with firmware version F926NKSU1DVH9. FYI, Android 12L is a “feature drop for Android 12.” It is specially crafted for devices with large screens like foldable smartphones, tablets, and Chromebooks to make it more usable.
