Though everything about the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus is already out, more leaks keep on coming. This newest one comes courtesy of prolific leaker Evan Blass, widely known as @evleaks. Recently, he tweeted the new Lilac Purple color variant of the Galaxy S9 duo replying to his previous render leak.
As you can see from the above leaked render, this is the first time ever a Galaxy S series will get this color varinat. This color variant of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 plus stand out among the competitors who all are launching their special editions in red color. Besides different color, the phone will pack the similar specifications as the standard ones.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or the Exynos 9810 based on the regions they will be sold. Futher, the regular variant will sort a 5.8 inches QHD+ Super AMOLED display, whereas the plus variant will feature the same panel but of 6.2 inches. And for memory, the standard variant might come only in 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM variant. But, the plus variant might also have a 6GB RAM / 128GB ROM variant. However, the storage can be expandable on both the S9 and S9 plus via microSD card.
The larger Galaxy S9 Plus will also feature dual camera setup which the smaller S9 will be void of. Also, when comparing to last year’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, this year’s models will have better placement for fingerprint sensor but still it will come with the infamous Bixby button. Lastly, both the phones will run on Android Oreo out of the box and will be backed by 3,000 mAh and 3,500 mAh batteries respectively.
