Samsung Galaxy Note 9 receiving May 2020 Security Patch update

The Korean giant is rolling out a new security patch for its a couple of years old flagship device – Galaxy Note 9. The new update for the Galaxy  Note 9 is now rolling out in Germany with the firmware version N960FXXS5DTE2. After Galaxy S9, the Galaxy Note 9 is receiving a firmware upgrade featuring security enhancements and fixes.

Apart from the usual fixes, the new firmware adds some fixes to improve the overall stability of the smartphone. You can manually check the update by heading to Settings, Software Update, and tap Download and install.  Moreover, if you still didn’t get the update after waiting for several days, then download the update file and flash it manually.

Samsung is keen on bringing the security patches for its flagship devices every month. A few days ago Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 unlocked received the May 2020 security update.  The Korean giant recently rolled out April 2020 security patch for Samsung Galaxy A51 along with One UI 2.1 updateSamsung Galaxy S20 series and Note 8, Galaxy Note 9

Additionally, Galaxy S9 is expected to receive an OneUI 2.1 update by the next month.
