[Update: Starts rolling out in UK] Samsung Galaxy A90 5G starts receiving Android 10 Update

The Korean giant is finally bringing Android 10 for Galaxy A90 5G in its home country. After making it wait for over a few months, the device bearing model number SM-A908N is finally tasting the One UI 2.0 based Android 10 update. The next-generation mobile connectivity compatible smartphone is the first non-flagship device.

Samsung Galaxy A90 5G is available in South Korea, China and other parts of the world. However, the update is live on the South Korean Version model numbered SM-908N.

Update February 17, 2020: The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G bearing model number SM-A908B has got its first Android 10 based firmware build. The OTA will gradually roll out to all the unlocked devices in the UK. The firmware version A908BXXU2BTB4 weighs over 4.95 GB. It can be flashed manually over the device by downloading directly from the firmware repositories like SamMobile, SamFrew, etc.

The new OneUI 2 is based on Android 10 and packs various new features and functions. It also packs all the luxuries of Android 10 with new gestures, permissions overhaul and much more. The SM-9080 is the only left model that is set to get the Android 10.

Samsung Galaxy A90 5G specs

Samsung Galaxy A90 5G was launched in September 2019 with Snapdragon 855 SoC and 6/8GB RAM. It features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the top. In optics, there’s a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. A 32-megapixel front camera is present for selfies.

There’s a WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and USB 3.1 Type-C compatibility. Samsung DeX is supported along with the presence of under-display fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.
