Starting from yesterday, Samsung is rolling out Nougat 7.0 update for Galaxy A5 (2017) in India. That is, a day after its larger sibling A7 (2017) was blessed with the update. The OTA update weighing nearly 1.4GB is gradually taking a round over India. Consequently, it should take couple of weeks or so to hit every A5 users.
In case if you don’t know. The Galaxy A5(2017) along with the A7(2017) boots Marshmallow 6.0.1 out-of-the-box since its launch. However, the both devices were already upgraded to Nougat earlier on August in certain regions. And, now the Nougat is officially hitting the Indian users after a month.
The update carrying firmware version A520FXXUBQI5 bundles a lots of features and improvements for the A5(2017). According to the changelog – It brings, ofcourse the Nougat to the smartphone, skinned with a new Samsung UX. Most probably, the UX ought to be Samsung Experience 8.1. And not the latest 8.5 which is currently worn by Galaxy Note 8 only.
Moreover, it caters new features like Dual Messenger, Quick Settings features, multi-window, Samsung Pass, improvements to AOD and app installation times and much more.
If you are a Galaxy A5(2017) user in India. And, haven’t updated to the Nougat yet. Head onto Settings>About Device>Software Update and check for the update. If update is available to your device proceed with the installation.
