The Galaxy A series of Samsung gets released in January every year. As we are less than two months away from that, we are now seeing details of next year’s iteration of A series trickle in. We’ve seen renders of Galaxy A5 (2018), now here is something new.
A new support page on Samsung’s official S. Korea website popped up yesterday. That page apparently confirms the existence of the A5 (2018). The page points to a new model labelled SM-A530. Since the Galaxy A5 (2017) had model number SM-A520, it is natural to imagine this is the Galaxy A5 (2018). Sadly there isn’t any more info floating around the website.
What we know so far from leaks is that the A5 (2018) will come with a 5.5-inch 18:9 display. This has just also been revealed recently through an HTML5 test. It isn’t expected to be curved as Samsung will surely keep those exclusive to the S series. The fingerprint placement as well on the A5 (2018) is also in a very ergonomically convenient position.
Moreover, we also expect water-proofing, a mid-range Snapdragon 660 or Exynos 7885, 4 GB RAM on the phone. The Galaxy A5 (2018) should be revealed in January alongside its bigger sibling the Galaxy A7 (2018).
