Facebook’s new App, Slingshot which was announced few days ago is now available all over the world. Slingshot is a photo and video sharing app that self-destruct — the latest app catering to consumers worried about their digital privacy.
The app is meant to be a competitor to Snapchat where users send each other photos. Most notable was the concept of “paying” to see a picture with your own snap in return, something the developers hoped would encourage a community “where everybody is a creator and nobody is just a spectator”.
Slingshot team wrote on their blog, “Since we launched last week, we’ve heard from lots of people around the world who are excited to give Slingshot a try. Starting today, we’re expanding our initial launch and making Slingshot available internationally! You can find Slingshot in app stores around the world for iPhone (iOS7) and Android (Jelly Bean and KitKat).”
The designers said they had received positive feedback from users in the US already and were excited to see it rolled out over the Globe.
