The latest update with a firmware version G98xFXXS2ATE7Â is rolling out to both the LTE and 5G variants. This firmware update is initially rolling out to more than 21 countries in Europe. Samsung’s efforts to update the devices
Yesterday, Samsung rolled out a similar update with more bug fixes to the Snapdragon-powered devices in the US. Similarly, a few weeks back, Samsung updated both the Exynos and Snapdragon-powered devices with performance and camera improvements. The update seemingly improved the quality of images in low lighting scenarios according to some Reddit users.
This new update from the company is a welcoming change as users often criticize Samsung for delaying the updates. The Galaxy S20 series has been facing a lot of criticisms lately. The issues include an overheating SoC, auto-focus issues in the camera, and more.

Nonetheless, Samsung has been working hard to fix the issues via OTA updates frequently. The company’s efforts to constantly update the devices with the latest security patches are appreciative, to say the least.
All in all, the latest update of Exynos powered devices don’t have any significant improvements apart from the June security patch. Users can try the new Over-The-Air(OTA) update by going into the System update option inside the settings app. Do note that you cannot downgrade to the older version after updating the device due to Samsung’s security policy.
