Last month, Asus announced a smartphone for Snapdragon insiders. This is a new gaming phone jointly developed by ASUS and Qualcomm named “EXP21 Smartphone.” Even though the device is still vague, it is believed to be the first smartphone compatible with millimeter waves as Asus. Anyway, prior to its release, the company has decided to send its first update to the mysterious device.
The Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders bears the model number ZS675KW but it still raises several questions. The first build for the handset is arriving on the firmware version 18.1030.2107.138. Concerning changes, the camera tunning is now optimized along with the sound quality of M&D earbuds. Moreover, the changelog mentions an upgraded Android security patch and we assume it to be the current safety maintenance, August 2021.
Like every other update, the OTA is rolling out in batch. Thus, it might take some days to reach all units. In case your handset doesn’t arrive with updated software, you can head over to Settings > System > System updates. If the firmware pops up, tap on download and install to flash the first package.
The Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders reportedly features a 6.78 inch Super AMOLED screen with Android 11 pre-installed. It offers a Snapdragon 888 5G chipset paired with 512GB of storage and 16GB RAM. A 64MP sensor could lead the triple optic department along with a 24MP front snapper.
