CyanogenMod has announced that they are not going to do any development on the Android L preview build. Here’s what community manager, Abhishek Devkota said in a blogpost, “We could spend the next 3 weeks working on integrating CM features against this new platform, and then have it suddenly change dramatically and break in the final release of L. This would boil down to a waste of time.”
Now it seems that team Cyanogen will wait for the Google final Android L build to drop off to start doing the development. Here’s what are the difficulties CyanogenMod is facing with Android L Preview build: CM’s L roadmap got some serious bugs, gaps and issues in L release which could break device support once the stable release lands. So now Cyanogen team is focusing again on CM 11 build until the official announcement from the Google regarding the Android L launch.
I personally think it is a better move by Cyanogen Team to focus on Kitkat based ROM until unless next version of the Android L is released.
