Today, Coolpad has made an announcement to launch Coolpad ‘Note 6’ as the latest addition to its smartphone portfolio in India. The smartphone will be the successor to Coolpad Note 5, which was launched in late 2016. Coolpad Note 6 will be offline exclusive and will be available in brick and mortar stores across the country.
Coolpad Note 6 flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor and will be available in two variants in terms of RAM and storage capacity. The basic variant comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and is priced at ₹8,999. On the other hand, the high-end variant is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and come with a price tag of ₹9,999 . Both variants support external storage which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The smartphone has a 13MP autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture. The handset’s highlight feature is the availability of 8MP+5MP dual front cameras and a powerful 4,070 mAh battery that is supposed to deliver a standby time of 350 hours on a single charge. Coolpad Note 6 runs an year old version, Android 7.1 (Nougat) out of the box.
In a press statement, Syed Tajuddin, CEO, Coolpad India said “With a dual selfie camera, great viewing experience, long lasting battery, Coolpad Note 6 will offer a great value for money smartphone for the Indian customers.”
“We are also planning to introduce few more aggressive offline devices in next 2-3 months, in order to make an expansion in the offline market through our retails partners and multi-brand outlets. We are expecting that Coolpad will be able to make a strong presence in the offline market by the end of 2018.” further added CEO Syed Tajuddin.
