OPPO recently unveiled two more devices for the Reno lineup. These are the new OPPO Reno 6 Pro 5G and Reno 6 5G. Both devices are the new mid-range premium devices from the brand. Both carry high refresh rate displays, 5G processors, fast charging support, excellent camera specifications, and much more. There are some differences between both devices, which we will be discussing with this article. Before that, let us look into the similarities between both devices (Reno 6 Pro 5G vs Reno 6 5G).
Must See: Oppo unveils ColorOS 12 – Features, Release Date and More
Even though Reno 6 Pro 5G and Reno 6 5G differs in screen sizes, both have an AMOLED display with the same refresh rate and touch sampling rate. That is, it has a panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It varies in size, coverage of colour gamut, and PPI. Both devices get protection from the same Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Even though the chipset varies, the RAM & storage options are the same. And both use LPDDR4X and UFS 2.1 tech. Both devices also run on the Color OS 11 out of the box and are based on Android 11. It will be upgraded into Color OS 12 (on top of Android 12) in the future.
When it comes to cameras, even though the Pro model gets a quad-rear camera setup and the vanilla model gets a triple-rear camera setup, both are essentially the same. The vanilla model misses out on the mono sensor, and everything else is the same. The front camera, too, is the same on both devices, i.e., a 32MP sensor. The Pro also gets a bigger battery, but both devices support 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging. Further, both devices get an in-display fingerprint scanner. Now, let us look into the differences between both these devices.

As you can see, there are only minor differences between both these devices. The main difference lies in the processor. The Pro model features a better chipset and a more prominent display. It also gets a bigger battery, as said earlier. So, it is better to go with the Reno 6 Pro 5G if your budget allows it. We hope you find our Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G vs Reno 6 5G comparison worth reading.
