Since mid-2019, new Huawei and Honor phones are banned from using Google services due to the trade ban imposed by then US President Donald Trump. In late 2020, Huawei sold Honor to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co Ltd. Now, Honor is back with a new smartphone series – the new Honor 50 for the global market. The new smartphone series duly supports Google services. With that taken into consideration, we have decided to compare the new Honor 50 Pro against the Mi 11 Lite 5G. Despite being the Pro variant, the new Honor smartphone isn’t a flagship device. It is just an upper mid-range mobile phone. Both smartphones come with 5G Snapdragon processors and OLED displays will fight against each other in this comparison.
Talking about similarities between these devices, both come with an OLED display which can show up to 1 billion colours and supports HDR 10+. Apart from the differences in size, they do differ in their refresh rates. The Honor 50 Pro comes with a 120Hz panel, while the latter offers a 90Hz panel. It’s a great thing that these upper mid-range devices now offer displays that are flagship level. The advantage of the newer Snapdragon 780G used in Mi 11 Lite 5G is that it is built on, the newer 5nm process. And it gives many benefits like less heat dissipation, less battery consumption, and other things. The Honor 50 Pro used the Snapdragon 778G, which is built on a 6nm process.
Other similarities include Android 11, Wi-Fi bands, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, and sensors like accelerometer, gyro, compass, proximity, and much more. Both the phone is slim and weighs below 190 grams. However, the Mi 11 Lite weighs around 159 grams. Making it the slimmest phone in the segment with a screen size of 6.5 inches. Another significant difference lies between the cameras, i.e., both have different primary sensors, and the Honor device comes with dual front cameras. Further, other differences between these devices will be included in the following table comparing Honor P50 Pro vs Mi 11 Lite 5G –
