Chrome browser has been today updated to version 66 that basically address the annoying autoplay of videos. The Chrome Browser v66 is released on all platforms that support it and the changelog is almost similar in all cases. Mainly, the update brings auto-play restriction of video contents and a new export password option.
Let us dig a little deep and see how the blocking of autoplay of videos works with the new release of the Chrome on Android. In case if you’ve already updated to the latest version. You might’ve noticed that certain videos no more autoplays while you browse. That is so because Google has enforced some new policies on when media can autoplay. Such that the videos on web will be autoplayed if and only if any one of the three below mentioned criterion are satisfied.
Other change that is debuting on Chrome is the new “Export Password Option”. The new feature simply facilitates you to share your passkeys to any app. The option can be seen as an overflow icon by tapping the Passwords menu on settings.
By now, the latest updated Chrome Browser should be available on Google Play Store for some devices. If not, don’t panic as within a week or so the update will be visible in your device too.
